1. Announcing the NCASM 2009 Fall Meeting: October 3, 2009, at Santa Clara University. This is the first joint conference of NCASM with the Santa Clara and Peninsula Veterinary Medical Associations! The meeting is co-sponsored by a diversity grant from the ASM (written by our past councilor, Dan Mills), with a goal to promote interactions between medical and veterinary microbiology communities. The focus of the conference will be ANAEROBES. Topics will include:
- Clostridium perfringens in Sea Otter populations
- Anaerobes of importance in human and veterinary clinical medicine
- An Anaerobiasis Tutorial
- Case Studies and more
No cost for CEUs to NCASM and Veterinary Association Members.

Sunday, September 27. If you missed the deadline and are planning to
register on-site, please notify NCASM Secretary Joseph Chen
