isolates for pfge: when we submit isolates for pfge for epidemiology purposes-we must pick from at least 3 colonies. In mixed cultures, when we isolate an organism-we usually pick from 1 isolated colonly. If this organism were then to go on for pfge testing, could our initial subculture affect the results? (answered 05/17/2005) |

there any way to look at individual PFGE patterns from Salmonella Newport
on the web (PulseNet? I couldn't find the link). Also, are those pattern
all generated by CHEF or could a person use FIGE? |
