Is TPPA a widely accepted method to replace FTA as a confirmatory test for syphilis as CDC seems to adopt it as a confirmatory test as stated in their website. Currently, we performed the both the qualitative and the quantitative testing for TPPA and we noticed TPPA titre may drop with the progress of treatment, but not for the FTA, does this impose any significance to retain FTA for the confiramtory test?
