Featured speakers:

Dr. Arturo Casadevall is the Leo and Julia Forchheimer Professor and Chair of the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, New York.
His research interests include fungal pathogenesis using Cryptococcus neoformans as a model system.

Dr. James Tiedje
is the University Distinguished Professor of Microbiology and Molecular Genetics
and the Director of the Center for Microbial Ecology at Michigan State
University.
His research interests include microbial ecology, physiology and diversity with
a special emphasis on the nitrogen cycle.
