Deadline: October 1, 2008
Please register in advance! While the Southeastern Branch increases the registration fee for people who wait until after October 15th, we will not do that (since this is already a larger registration fee than our regular Florida Branch meetings). However, we need an accurate head-count for the meeting, so it would be a big help if you sent in your registration when you submit your abstract (or NOW if youre not going to submit an abstract but plan to attend). Opening Reception: Thursday evening
Friday and Saturday are two full days, with ASM Branch speakers and symposia.

The program will also feature some special symposia, including Marine Microbiology and Evolution of Vibrio cholerae.
Hotel information
Dates: Thursday, November 6 Sunday, November 9 (room block is for 3 nights, Thurs-Sat, checking out Sun)
Location: Radisson Hotel Butler Blvd Jacksonville; 4700 Salisbury Road, Jacksonville, FL 32256.
Room block rates: $79 per night (plus 13% tax) for single or double occupancy.
To make reservations: Call Tania Mineva, Reservation Manager at (904) 281-9700 ext.109 and tell her you are with the American Society for Microbiology (ASM) group!
Important notes:
(1) The room block (55 rooms total) will be released on October 1 (the same day as the abstract deadline), so book early!!! After that point, you may still be able to get a room but not necessarily at this rate.
(2) Check-in time is 4 pm and check-out time is 11 am.
(3) If you change your mind, reservations must be cancelled 48 hrs in advance or you will be charged. Early check-outs will also be charged.
(4) FL ASM is holding some rooms for undergraduate and graduate student presenters please e-mail Christina Kellogg (ckellogg@usgs.gov) to be put on a list for these rooms; we will do our best to accommodate all student presenters, but first come, first serve!
