Recipients of the Pasteur Award

The Pasteur Award was established in 1948 to publicly recognize individuals who have made significant and outstanding contributions in the field of microbiology. Eligibility is not limited to members of the society or to Illinois residents. The Illinois Society for Microbiology is proud to present this award each year at the fall meeting at our fall Pasteur Award meeting and dinner.

The 2007 Pasteur Award winner is:

The 2007 ISM award committee was pleased to present this award 
to Dr. Murray at the 60th annual Pasteur Award Meeting on November 7, 2007 for his career-long contributions to clinical microbiology.  Dr. Murray is editor in chief for the 9th edition of The Manual of Clinical Microbiology published in 2007 by the ASM press.

Dr. Murray also spoke at our meeting on "Life of a Microbiologist in the 21st Century". Congratulations, Dr. Murray!
