In the interest of boosting our membership and promoting a more equitable representation and commitment to the branch, the Secretary/Treasurer, Kathryn Henderson, investigated the possibility of electing a “Councilor” from each of the institutions in the Rio Grande geographic area. She reported that ASM Constitution and By-Laws state that each branch in good standing can only elect one Councilor and one Alternate Councilor to ASM Council. Thus, official “Site Representatives” were elected instead. They are: NMSU Geof Smith, NMT Tom Kieft, Sul Ross Keith Sternes, UNM South Campus Diana Northup, UNM North Campus Steve Young, and UTEP Steve Aley. |
