The mission of Division F encompasses the biochemistry, molecular biology, genetics, morphogenesis, pathogenesis, immunology, epidemiology, laboratory identification, in situ detection, and taxonomy of fungi, especially those known to cause disease in man and other animals, and the therapy of those diseases.
