Division I Newsletter

Dear ASM Division I Members,

The 99th general meeting of the American Society for Microbiology will be upon us soon. With that in mind we wanted to send some updated information which may be helpful when making your plans to attend the meeting in Chicago, May 30-June 3. We would also like to introduce your newly elected Division Officers whose terms will begin July 1, 1999.

Each year the Chair and Chair-Elect organize Division I symposia and poster sessions for the ASM General Meeting. The Division Chair or Chair-Elect is your contact if you have ideas for symposia, nominations for future Division I Officers, or other suggestions regarding Division activities. The Councilor and Alternate Councilor represent Division I to the governing body of ASM.
