Active MRSA Surveillance Program
The IP Col-lab-oration Project presents a two-part live webinar series focusing on effective MRSA Surveillance Programs.
Part one will be led by Lance Peterson, MD, CIC, who will provide guidelines and expectations of active MRSA surveillance. It will reinforce the importance of collaboration between the hospital clinical microbiology laboratory and the hospital infection prevention department in accessing your facility needs for MRSA surveillance testing, and developing and implementing an effective MRSA surveillance program. This information is imperative for individuals involved in implementing, assessing, or maximizing the use of active MRSA surveillance testing as part of a complete HAI prevention program.
It will be presented on March 6 at 3:00 pm (eastern).
Part two will be led by Lillian Burns, MT, MPH, CIC. She will provide insight on the economic and clinical significance of implementing a MRSA surveillance program and what administrators need to understand. Additionally, she'll discuss how the lab and infection control can work together to implement solutions.
It will be presented on March 8 at 3:00 pm (eastern).
Both webinars are free for ASM members.
