ASM submitted regarding the identification of new scientific information that might warrant the NIH issuing a contract for a new or updated edition of the Guide for the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals.

November 3, 2000 - Proposed Changes to the Animal Welfare Act
ASM submitted comments to the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) on a proposed rule to clarify the definitions of the pain and distress of animals used in research, testing, and teaching. The proposed changes would take effect under the Animal Welfare Act (AWA).
