American Society For Microbiology
Education

The Education Board's mission is to educate individuals at all levels in the microbiological sciences. It supports both student and faculty development through fellowships, online publications, conferences, workshops, and institutes, and networking opportunities.

The 2011 ASM Curriculum Guidelines for Undergraduate Microbiology are available from the ASM Task Force on Curriculum Guidelines for Undergraduate Microbiology. These guidelines have been updated based on discussion and feedback from the 2011 ASM Conference for Undergraduate Educators and the 2011 General Meeting. They have been put in place to ensure that students have a foundational understanding in biology.
