Abner Louis Notkins

Dr. Notkins' laboratory uses a broad interdisciplinary approach to study the normal physiology and pathogenesis of disease.  The major emphasis is in the areas of: (1) virology; (2) autoimmune type 1 diabetes (especially the autoantigens IA-2 and IA-2ß); (3) immunity (polyreactive antibodies); and (4) autoimmunity (predictive antibodies).
