Southeastern Microbiology Summit (Southeastern and Florida Branches)

 

(Florida Branch Meeting and 100th General Meeting of the Southeastern Branch of ASM) 

 

Overview:  The Southeastern Microbiology Summit (100th General Meeting of the Southeastern Branch of ASM and Florida Branch of ASM meeting) will take place on September 5-7, 2014 in Ponte Vedra Beach Sawgrass Marriott Resort.  Ponte Vedra Beach is a suburb of Jacksonville.   The meeting will open with a Key Note address, followed by poster presentations and a social on Friday afternoon, with a full day of concurrent mini-sessions on Saturday.  Morning mentoring sessions for pre-med and pre-grad students will take place on Saturday and Sunday mornings.

 

Date: September 5-7, 2014 (Most of the events will take place on Friday and Saturday, with a morning mentoring session on Sunday)

 

Place:  Ponte Vedra Beach Sawgrass Marriott Resort (Ponte Vedra Beach is a suburb of Jacksonville)

Student Travel Grants – A limited number of travel grants for students are available.  Students will need to check the eligibility box on their application, and the grants will be awarded based on the abstracts
