Mission: The International Board develops, sustains and promotes the global activities of the American Society for Microbiology.
The International Board accomplishes this mission through the integrated implementation of the following goals:

Goal One - Promote the microbiological sciences worldwide by providing a diverse array of educational programs and services

Goal Two - Develop collaborative relationships with national and international scientific organizations worldwide

Goal Three - Ensure that the products and services of ASM effectively serve its international membership

Goal Four - Build capacity of clinical/public health microbiology laboratories internationally through externally funded projects

Goal Five - Ensure that ASM harnesses its scientific expertise to impact microbiologically-related international policy
