Criteria for Selection

As part of the application materials, applicants must contact proposed preceptors, develop and submit a specific research proposal. Fellows will be selected from the pool of applicants on the basis of the scientific merit of the proposed research and its consistency with CDC's public health mission, goals, and priorities. Additionally, applicants will be evaluated on prior work and educational experience and its relevance to the proposed research. Other considerations include applicant's prior statement of career goals and letters of reference. Preference will be given to someone seeking his or her first postdoctoral position.
