International Travel Grants


Millis-Colwell Exchange Program for Early Career Scientists:  Travel to Australia!  This collaboration between the American Society for Microbiology and the Australian Society for Microbiology allows for the exchange of one member from each society to present an abstract at the annual General Meeting of the other society and to spend a week at nearby research laboratory.


Heatley-Payne Exchange Program for Early Career Scientists 
Travel to the U.K. or Ireland!  This grant, offered jointly with the Society for General Microbiology (SGM), supports the reciprocal exchange of one member from each society to present their research at the other society’s main conference and to visit a research laboratory in that country.

 
Carlyn Halde Latin American Student Travel Grant  This travel grant, administered in collaboration with the Medical Mycological Society of the Americas (MMSA), supports the travel of a student medical microbiologist from Latin America, Puerto Rico or the Caribbean to participate in ASM General Meeting.  

Leadership Grant for International Educators  
This program enables a select group of undergraduate educators from resource-limited countries to attend the ASM Conference for Undergraduate Educators (ASMCUE) and a pre-conference workshop to provide leaders in education with the resources to build innovative teaching modules that engage students and lead to enduring understandings in microbiology.
