Students, postdoctoral fellows, and early and mid-career scientists are eligible for fellowships to conduct research and participate in activities that encourage professional growth in a new area. Funds may be available for stipends, housing, travel, and ASM membership.
Congressional Science Fellowship A program that selects a postdoctoral to mid-career microbiologist to spend one year on the staff of an individual congressman, congressional committee or with some other appropriate organizational unit of Congress. The award will include a $60,000 stipend plus health care supported by the Martin Frobisher Fund.
ASM International Fellowships for Africa, Asia and Latin America and the Caribbean These programs offer fellowships to promising young investigators in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean, who are working in any of the microbiology disciplines, to visit a host scientist in the US. Women's Career Development Grants Given to enhance the careers of postdoctoral women with outstanding scientific accomplishments and potential for significant research in the area of microbiology.
