2:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
ASM campers will learn about the nation’s capitol, the magnificent monuments and museums, the White
House, cherry blossoms, etc. Campers will have the opportunity to create DC postcards to send to their
family and friends back home. They’ll also create a large “Welcome to Washington, DC!” mural, each
adding their own decorative touch showing the sights of the city. Counselors lead fun “Get to Know You”
games to help campers meet each other. In addition, campers will participate in stories, sing-a-longs,
active games and movies.
Young Explorers
Monday, May 19
7:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Campers will celebrate the spirit of the great American explorers. The group will experience the freedom
of creative license as they have "Create Time!" Children will make whatever they want out of a variety of
craft materials. Other projects will include High Flying Balloons, Bead Snakes, and Henna Heads. Also,
the games will test the skill of the explorer as the children dash through an obstacle course built on-site.
Campers will explore the world of science today with lessons and experiments like "the swimming egg" and
"the blob."
Everyone's a Star
Tuesday, May 20
7:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Each camper will have their moment in the spotlight as they imitate their favorite stars or show off their
own star power in the Kids Camp talent show. They’ll create their own picture frames and make autograph
books for all of their new stellar friends to sign. Games will include the "Flashlight Tag" and the
"Galactic Races" where the real stars will twinkle and shine.
Scooby Doo, Where Are You?
Wednesday, May 21
7:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Scooby and the gang are setting out on a new adventure. They need help unraveling the mystery of the
"glowing bone!" Campers will delight in creating “Scooby-licious snacks”, a Scooby scavenger hunt for
clues and a special appearance by your favorite teen detectives (and Scooby too!).
Survivor Challenge
Thursday, May 22
7:30 a.m. - 12:00 noon
Campers will grab their backpacks and follow the “Call of the Wild” during this challenge of skill and
wit! Contestants will create their very own survival kits and match "brain" against "brawn" for the
challenge of a lifetime!
