Allard Marc 250Dr. Marc Allard is a nationally and internationally renowned expert in comparative microbial genomics of foodborne pathogens. He has implemented a research program focusing on both animal and food microbiology, and made significant contributions to fulfill CFSAN’s mission to protect public health. Dr. Allard has successfully built a new genomics laboratory for FDA CFSAN and provided broader genomics support both within and outside of the Agency. Dr. Allard has successfully integrated CFSAN’s comparative genomics subtyping program into the national network for foodborne disease surveillance program (PulseNet), with initial collaborative research and deployment among 6 state departments of health (DOH) laboratories, the NIH and CDC.
