Valentina Anisimova, Ph.D. (USAID-Russia Consultant)

Dr. Anisimova has been working as a senior scientist in a TB Molecular Epidemiology Laboratory for the State Research Center for Applied Microbiology, Moscow region, for the last six years. She is participating as a consultant for the USAID-Russia/CDC Atlanta international assistance program for developing countries as a result of a July 2005 agreement between the U.S. and Russian Presidents in Bratislava. Her current research areas are genotyping of Mtb clinical isolates (RFLP, spoligotyping, MIRU-VNTR), PCR-diagnostics of drug resistance.
