Explore Washington, DC

While at the ASM Conference on Biofilms, make sure to leave time in your schedule to tour monuments, memorials, museums, and much more – in Washington, DC. During your trip, you’ll want to ride the Metro, walk the halls of the free Smithsonian museums and soak up some history, browse local shops, and eat multi-course dinners. Whatever you decide to do while in Washington, DC, decide to explore.

Of Special Note:

Outbreak

Outbreak: Epidemics in a Connected World
at the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History

ASM is excited to team up with the Smithsonian to help people understand the global impact of infectious diseases. Outbreak: Epidemics in a Connect World examines the human ecology of epidemics. It shows how viruses can spread from animals to people, why some outbreaks become epidemics and how people in different disciplines and countries are working together to stop them.
