ASM sent a letter to the House and Senate Agriculture Committees, the Senate Finance Committee and the House Ways and Means Committee urging support for the Initiative for Future Agriculture and Food Systems contained in the Research, Extension and Education Reauthorization Bill (S. 1150). The Initiative creates a new mandatory spending account in the U.S. Department of Agriculture that would provide $780 million over five years for agricultural research funding.
