Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Specialist – International Affairs (Contract Position)

The American Society for Microbiology (ASM), headquartered in Washington, DC, is seeking a Contractual M&E Specialist in the International Affairs Department for current and anticipated funding from the US Government (USG) (e.g., CDC, DOD, Department of State), and funding from non-USG sources (e.g., foundations, non-US government agencies). The M&E Specialist will work with the team on M&E of grant-funded programs in clinical laboratory diagnostic capacity building and health systems strengthening in resource-limited countries in sub-Saharan Africa, MENA, Eastern Europe, and South and Southeast Asia.Projects will involve designing and implementing M&E activities, and managing and communicating activity results. Areas of focus may include: assessing the quality of project monitoring; enhancement of data management/reporting systems; presentation and dissemination of evaluation results to ASM’s donors and partners; and the provision of M&E capacity building within the mission of the grants.
