Session proposal submissions for ASM Microbe 2018 is now open! 

Your opportunity to play a role in designing the program for ASM Microbe 2018, from June 7–11, 2018, in Atlanta, GA is here! 

ASM Microbe brings together exceptional education into one creative learning environment, and there are three opportunities for you to participate in the planning of next year’s program.

Deadline for submissions: July 21, 2017, 5:00 p.m. (ET) 
Session Dispositions: Early-Fall 2017

Please be aware that proposed speakers in session proposals cannot have spoken at ASM Microbe 2017 (this does not apply to trainees and early career scientists in their first five years of employment, moderators, nor to workshops as a whole). To check if a speaker has spoken in this year’s meeting, please visit the Online Program Planner. It is also advisable to balance diversity (gender, race, etc.), career stage and US versus non-US speakers in all submissions.

In order to create an innovative and comprehensive program that reflects the broad scope of the microbial sciences, the Program Committee has developed a list of tracks. Please take a moment to review the list of tracks before submitting your proposals. You will be required to select a primary track to submit your proposal for consideration.

Housing Registration, and Travel Subsidy or Travel Reimbursement

ASM will provide invited speakers with a travel subsidy or travel reimbursement, along with a registration discount, to assist with expenses. Moderator-only participants will receive a registration discount for the meeting.

Participants from North America will receive a $1,000 travel subsidy or reimbursement up to $1000 (Canada and Mexico). Speakers from outside of North America will receive reimbursement up to $2000. All speakers will receive a special registration discount.
