The House Science, Space and Technology Committee, subcommittee on Research and Technology will held a hearing “National Science Foundation Part II: Future Opportunities and Challenges for Science” on March 21. Witnesses included: Joan Ferrini-Mundy, acting COO of the NSF, Maria Zuber, chair of the National Science Board (NSB) and Keith Yamamoto, vice chancellor for science policy and strategy at the University of California, San Francisco

Representatives Rosa Delauro (D-CT) and Nita Lowey (D-NY) released a joint statement opposing the postponement of house appropriations committee hearings for the NIH and Department of Education.
