The NARMS 2015 Human Isolates Surveillance Report Published

The National Antimicrobial Resistance Monitoring System for Enteric Bacteria (NARMS) has recently published the “NARMS 2015 Human Isolates Surveillance Report.” The report provides the most recent nationwide data on antibiotic resistance transmitted commonly by food, including Salmonella, Shigella, Campylobacter, and non- cholera Vibrio. NARMS is an interagency partnership including the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), and state and local health departments. NARMS is the only source of national information on antibiotic resistance in foodborne pathogens. Read the report.
