Antimicrobial Agents and Resistance

Antimicrobial Agents and Resistance (AAR) – formerly part of the Antimicrobial Agents and Infectious Diseases track – will cover a range of important topics. One of the major challenges today is the rising tide of antimicrobial resistance, with the emergence of "untreatable" microbes causing diseases that were once readily treatable. The AAR track is the best place to find information regarding new antimicrobial agent discovery, preclinical investigations of new antimicrobial in the piepeline, and first-look data of human clinical trials using new antimicrobial agents.

AAR01: Surveillance of Antimicrobial Resistance: Molecular Typing, Clinical and Molecular Epidemiology

AAR02: Antimicrobial Agents: Mechanisms of Action and Mechanisms of Resistance

AAR03: Antifungal Agents and Resistance

AAR04: Antimicrobial Pharmacokinetics, Pharmacodynamics and General Pharmacology

AAR05: Antimicrobial Stewardship, including Quality of Care

AAR06: Antiviral Agents (including HIV drugs) and Resistance

AAR07: Experimental Therapeutics

AAR08: New Antimicrobial Agents (pre-US IND or prior to the start of clinical therapeutic studies/pre-phase 2) and New Research Technologies

AAR09: Pharmacological Studies of Antimicrobial Agents pre-NDA
